This icon was driven mostly by veteran Hollywood Stuntman Mickey Gilbert and his boys during the shows run. This truck could be jumped and jumped and jumped with little to no damage and easily repaired to go straight back to work. They moved the engine/trans to the center of the chassis, mounted it in a cradle under the truck, reinforced the chassis and axles for it to survive the show's wild stunts each week. The truck was built by 20th Century shop mechanics to combat the number of trucks being destroyed each week on the show.
